Week 3

Hello my beloved people from America!
This week has been really great. To start off I am in Kaikohe!!!! It is the most northern part of New Zealand and it is absolutely beautiful. Pictures dont do it justice. My trainer is Sister Ottley from Highland Utah. She has legit been out 6 weeks.. Why president trusts us together.. I dont know haha i must have done something right in that interview, she is pretty sure i will be training in 6 weeks too cause that happened to her trainer as well so we will see. She is really great though. So much work is to be done in the North part and its hard. There arent enough people for wards so were in two branches. One branch 46 out of 74 are less active and in the other 5. 5 out of 92 are active!! It is crazy! So intimidating but hopefully we can help some people. We are about 5 hours from Auckland and have been driving back and forth all week. Saturday was Time Out for women so Sister Dalton, Sister Turley, Sister Swinton, Brad Wilcox, and David Archuleta were all there and we got to meet some of them that was really cool and a great experience.. I SAW SISTER VOS!! Definitely started to cry when she said hi to me, then bawled when we said good bye but its ok hopefully i will see her again soon.

So my Zone Leader is Elder Crane! I went to high school with him. Hahha so funny he is my ZL. I also saw Elder Murdock. Who happens to be in Miles homeward back in good old utah. So he saw me and informed me his ward knows a lot about me because they always talked about me... We decided they always teased Miles about me cause they are jealous snd im the standard every guy in their ward should have ;) hahaha jokes im not that great. But it was nice to see him and a few other Elders i knew before the mission.

President and Sister Balli rock! I love them so much and am so grateful to be blessed with such an amazing mission president. The work is hard but its already worth it.

After being in this area I have learned a lot about member missionary work and how important that is. Seriously i dont know how were going to do this unless the members help us. Yes it is scary to open our mouths and preach the gospel. But its worth it. I know when i was home i didnt care as much to help the missionaries, but man do we need it here. The members are starting to get better but its so sad how many less actives there are. All is well and i know its all in the Lords timing. I am loving being a missionary and am so grateful for this call.

love you all,
Sister Boiteux

Week 2

Everyone! This week was seriously an emotional roller coaster, man this companionship is a hot mess. I leave for the mission field tomorrow and couldn't be more excited... or scared! It will be great to get out of this place. And make my own food... We have spaghetti for breakfast its weird! and unhealthy. I miss the Wilsons they would always take the food I didn't eat and put it in their napkins to throw away haha they are so funny. We had a great experience this week of going to the temple! I also got to meet president going so that was cool. I miss the temple and my streak of going every week for almost a year is now officially over. I am grateful I did that it has taught me so much about the gospel. I challenge you all to go. Especially the youth make the time to go it is worth it. The blessings will come. If you're not worthy get worthy and participate in this great work that needs to be done.
Another thing I am so grateful for is the priesthood. I got pretty sick this weekend and the pain was terrible. So one of my teachers and President Waetford gave me a priesthood blessing and i was sentenced to bed. No worries I didn't need to go to the hospital I just had to talk to a doctor. It was hard to get through classes but I did it. Faith in Christ and the priesthood works miracles. I hope every man who is a member of the church is striving to be worthy of the priesthood he holds. And when someone needs a blessing that you are willing to step up and give one. I cant wait to have a worthy priesthood holder who can bless my family. It is a wonderful thing and I hope you all are striving to have it or are worthy to hold it.

Blonde moment of the week: I was straightening my hair with my companions straightener and I put it down then we heard a pop... and the converter started smoking hahahhaha. It was the scariest and funniest thing.
Then I found my sewing kit!! Sister Tilini and I tried to open it and were pulling as hard as we can and it wouldn't budge.. We realized that the sides were taped haha. Were great!

I love you all and be prepared for pictures next week!!
Love you lots!
Sister Boiteux

also forgot to say. There's a few French elders here and I always ask them to say my last name cause they say it right.  SO one said "Sister Boiteux... Boiteux means a man with a limp" Then he started to limp away. Now when they see me they say "Hi sister Boiteux!" then start laughing and walk away. I don't get why its so funny. I try to talk back to them but they don't understand me. When they do they yell out a word they understood then laugh again. So I will just provide the entertainment for them I guess. Ok that's all. Love you heaps.

Week 1

(Written 2 August 2015)
The first week is pretty much done!! Only one more week left and I'm out of this celestial prison! No the MTC rocks it is a spiritual feast every single day. I am known as Sister Buytwo, Sister B, and the pickiest eater out of all the missionaries. Shocker right? Haha my district rocks. The Elders are two immature boys who just graduated so I feel like I'm with Blake and CJ but it brings joy to my life. We also have a senior couple in our district, the Wilsons!! I absolutely love them. They pretty much really enjoy watching me eat every meal because I haven’t tried a lot, but I actually like a lot of the food… Except the sausage. Such a nasty piece of meat. Every time I hear the word spongy I think of the sausage we had for dinner. I had to force it down because Sister Gibson (Presidents wife) makes us eat every piece of food we get because we are wasting tithing money when we throw it away. So when she sits by us it’s the scariest thing ever. I wish that I could tell you everything I have learned, but I cant because it’s a lot. We taught our first investigator. When she asked a question the first thing I thought was “Why am I on a mission? This is hard and I know nothing.” My companions and me were pretty discouraged. We were sitting in class and our teacher Sister Niutua pretended to be an investigator and thought that we worship Joseph Smith. We asked her whose name is on our name tag. Well the answer is Jesus Christ. It just hit me. I shouldn’t be discouraged I shouldn’t feel inadequate the Savior is here for me. Always.
So I'm going to ask you, What are you going to let the Spirit teach you today? How are you going to grow closer to the Savior? Life is hard I know. Being a missionary is hard and I only just began but its worth it. The Savior is on our side. The spirit is going to help us know the truths all we have to do is study and pray for it. Obedience brings success, Exact Obedience brings blessings. Know him. Love him. Serve him. Life will be great. The best part of the day is putting my name tag on and knowing I'm representing Jesus Christ. I love the Gospel and am so excited to be done here at the NZ MTC.
Love you all. Keep on keeping on.

They Call Me Sister!!

(written 29 July 2015)
Hello loved ones back in America!! We arrived in New Zealand at like 5 in the morning and I'm pretty much exhausted but this place is beautiful. But it is FREEZING!!!! its clearly not summer anymore so hopefully my clothes will be good enough once I'm in the field. The flight was good but long. Haha i asked a lady from London if she wanted to meet with the missionaries when she got home and she said no. But we had a good discussion. We flew over here with 8 elders and 6 sisters. I have two companions! Sister Watters from Dallas, Texas and Sister Tilini from Tonga!! They are great and i cant wait to start teaching with them. For some odd reason we cant take pictures in the MTC. So maybe the next email you will get some. I feel so official having my name tag and I am so excited to learn how to teach the lessons and not butcher everything when I'm talking to people. The MTC President and his wife are super nice and I'm excited to get to work. We also get to go to the temple next Thursday!! So excited for that :) I do feel like I'm babysitting the elders at times especially the ones that just graduated... but its ok that's teaching me patience as well. I'M A MISSIONARY and i love it so much!
Love you all!
