Book of Mormon Stories..

Honestly not to sure what to say about this week. A lot of learning, growing, laughing, crying, etc.. The joys of being a missionary. Yesterday was just great. We had a come and see fireside. When all of us missionaries bring our investigators and they have recent converts speak and musical items. It was just so good. Sister Trull has been a member for a year and a half now so they had her speak. Her conversion story and testimony are so powerful. She was speaking about the Book of Mormon and how the missionaries would invite her to read it and she would say yes and then never actually do it. One of those haha. But one day she finally decided to start reading it. So she read 1 Nephi 1. Then prayed and when she finished praying she expected to see an angel or Heavenly Father but she saw nothing. So the missionaries told her to do it again and really listen to the spirit. So she did. She read 1 Nephi 2 and prayed again. She decided she just needed to go to church. She finally did and she found out the church was true and got baptized!! Obviously the story is a lot better when she tells it because its her story, but it made me really reflect on my personal testimony of the Book of Mormon as well as all of yours. We talk with members at times and they dont even know if the Book of Mormon is true. Its just part of our religion so its like what ever. Its quite heartbreaking. The Book of Mormon is such a wonderful beautiful gift that we have been given. I know that everything in it is true and its inspired and we can apply it to our lives every single day. I hope and invite all of you to read from the Book of Mormon every day, every day, every day. It changes lives and can help you in anything that you are going through. I know that to be true. I also know if you pray to Heavenly Father with a sincere heart and real intent He. Will. Answer. You. 

Im so grateful to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Im so grateful to represent our Saviour Jesus Christ. I know the church is true. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that the Book of Mormon is also true. I know that because I study it every day. I ponder on it. Then I ask God. Listen to the spirit and you can know too. I love you all and hope you have an incredible week.

Miracle: Yesterday at Come and See my dear Sister Lott was there. Their investigator was Siu!!! The  miracle Sister Lott and I were blessed with two transfers ago. He is the younger brother of one of the brethren who use to be in the bishopric. We have been teaching him and every time we invited him to be baptized he said next year haha 20 year old boys mate. But he was there yesterday and he is getting baptized on Saturday!! Woohoo!!! So excited and proud of him. :)

Life Is Good, It Will All Work Out

Kia Ora mi familia,

Well President decided to split up the dynamic duo. My #1 soa is now my #1 sister training leader. Sister Lott is going to smash it in her new calling. Im so extremely proud of her. She stayed back in Tamaki and I was moved to Waterview. Transfers are just wonderful haha. This area is great I already love the ward and the people here. 

Every transfer seems to have a theme. This one I can tell is really teaching me patience, humility, charity, and most importantly im learning more about the atonement. Sister Lott and I kept saying oh were to comfortable which means things are going to change. Sadly we were right. But there is no comfort in the growth zone and no growth in the comfort zone. I am really grateful for the challenges that I am given so that I can grow closer to the Saviour. I dont think I have learned so much in such a short amount of time as I have now. Im so grateful for the priesthood and also the power of prayer. I know that when we pour out our hearts to God he will hear our cries and he will answer us. It may not be the way we want and it may not be immediately but he will answer. 

helaman 3:35 "  Nevertheless they did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God."

I know that I need to yield my heart unto God, I know I need to align my will to his. By doing that I can be refined and I can become a better person. I know that is true for all of us. Its hard and sometimes we hold things back, but when we literally give him everything is when we become who he wants us to be. I am really grateful for all the prayers that you send my way they strengthen me more than you know. I hope you are all doing well. I love you heaps.

Hello Folks!
For those of you trying to keep up on the escapades of Sister Boiteux I apologize, majority, for not posting her emails this whole transfer. Life has been pretty darn crazy! I am going to try and post all her emails since the last time I posted, however it may take me the whole week to catch up haha. Thanks for all your love and support that you've provided my sister!

Win the Next Pitch

This week was good but long. We still talked with heaps of people but a lot of our appointments fell through. We were definitely expecting that since we had such an incredible week last week. Its transfers this week and I always love looking back and seeing what this past transfer has taught me. I would have to say diligence. The amount of times our zone leaders told us to recommit to our purpose and to talk with every one. Once we actually applied that the changes started to happen. Our desire to talk with everyone and share the beautiful message we have grew heaps. Im grateful for my companion Sister Lott. Seriously she is one of the best missionaries we have here in the NZAM. I look up to her so much and am grateful for her knowledge of the gospel and her excitement in the work. 

I really know that the Lord is preparing his children. It doesnt matter where you live there will always be someone who is ready to hear what the missionaries have to share with them. I feel like a lot of the time when we dont listen to a prompting or when we dont do what we know is right we tend to beat our selves up because of it. This entire week I have felt so down and annoyed because of things that happened in our area. We were going to an appointment with our district leader and our investigator wasnt home. His new motto for us is "win the next pitch." He played baseball so he talked about how when he missed the one before his coach would just yell win the next pitch! So that is now our reminder when we talk with him. It actually helps so much. It doesnt matter what happens in the past as long as we continue to improve. As long as we look forward with faith and not dwell on what has happened. Im so grateful for this transfer and the many lessons I learned in these short 6 weeks. I hope you all had an incredible week. I hope you are looking for ways where you can serve the people around you every single day.

Count Your Many Blessings!!

THIS WEEK WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It started off a little sucky. Like we have no idea what happened to us. It was hot and we had no energy and yeah. What a sad we know. Then Wednesday came and we just literally talked with everyone. Like guilt just overcame us when we didnt stop and talk with them. We were blessed with so many more people to teach this week. We accomplished quite a few of our goals and our testimonies just grew heaps.

One night Sister Lott and I were contacting a less active family. As we were leaving their home we saw people in a park so we talked with them then got in our car then saw more people so we had to get out again. Clearly Heavenly Father didnt want us to drive away. We decided to just take the alley way into the other part of our area to contact a few potentials. After we contacted them we headed back to the car and a kid was riding through the alley way on his bike. We talked with him and he got really excited and said, "wait are you the Mormon missionaries?" Apparently they have been getting taught by the Samoan sisters.. But he doesnt speak Samoan only his dad does. So we asked if he wanted an english Book of Mormon and when we gave it to him his light just lit up. Seriously it was the coolest thing. We told him we would get his information then send it to the missionaries in his area. Turns out HE IS IN OUR AREA!!! Woohoo!!! We get to go back and teach him this week. My testimony just grew so much that Heavenly Father will put us exactly where we need us. We just need to listen to the spirit and not be stubborn. We were blessed immensely this week. One of the best weeks my entire mission. I hope you are all looking for ways to serve others. To really listen to promptings that you receive from our Father in Heaven and then act on them. You never know when a miracle is going to happen. I love you all.

Refiners Fire

This week was so long, so wet, so hot and so spiritual!!!!

It was pouring one day and then blazing hot the next. I was seriously losing my mind. The work was really slow this week. Cant blame it on the area because it was us. We had a really great training this week. President Balli spoke about our testimonies on the atonement. How when we bear them we should just talk about how Christ suffered on the cross but also in the Garden of Gethsemane. Do we truly understand what the Saviour did for us? It really hit me and I just wanted to learn more about Christ and more about the love he has for all of us.

We were also blessed to have Stake Conference this week. I dont think I have ever loved a Stake Conference so much. Tamaki is the best. We had a member of the 70 present Elder Cummings. He said heaps but there are a few things I want to share with all of you..

Before Christ completed the atonement He always says that we must be perfect as the father is, but once he did fulfill what he needed to he told us to be perfect as He is and as the Father is. Why? because Christ became perfect, he was complete. It was just a cool thing for me to learn. The Saviour is perfect and we do need to become more like him. Another thing being stressed in our mission at the moment is Repentance. Elder Cummings talked a bit on that. He shared a story of how he was gardening for 8 hours. There was a stone in his shoe that he didnt want to remove cause he was lazy. So when he took off his boot he had a blister. That blister is like us. If we just continue to push our sin to the side or only half-heartedly repent it isnt full or complete repentance. It continues to get worse and worse. Let us all remember what the Saviour did for us. To truly repent of our sins and do better and do more. It might have been a long week work wise but we were completely uplifted by our wonderful leaders. I love you all and hope you have an amazing week.
