This week was just fantastic. Thank you so much to everyone for the time you took to write me such sweet letters. The worth of a letter to a missionary is seriously so much. You all brought tears to my eyes. I miss you heaps but am grateful for your love and your prayers.
A scripture I wanted to share today is found in Jacob 5:22
" And the Lord of the vineyard said unto him: Counsel me not; I knew that it was a poor spot of ground;wherefore, I said unto thee, I have nourished it this longtime, and thou
beholdest that it hath brought forth much fruit."
This week we had trade offs and I was with the wonderful Sister Smith. Seriously it was one of the greatest days I have had my entire mission. We were able to have comp study with the assistants and we talked about finding and our desire to TWE and all that fun stuff. So we sat in the car and we were just so pumped to do missionary work. We got back to their area and decided what we wanted to accomplish that day. President always talks about how we need to set goals that push us and that we have to strive to accomplish so we did exactly that. We set our goals and took them to the Lord. I cant even tell you how many miracles we had that day. Honestly the only way we accomplished so much is because the Lord helped us he pushed us to do and be better. Heavenly Father truly knows where we can improve. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. I promise you all that as you take your goals to him he will help you accomplish them. He breaks us and then reshapes us and I know that to be true.
The spirit was so strong that day and our desire was just through the roof. When we got back with our companions and set out the next day to do work we just new there was so much to be done. We hit our goal for TWE (talking with everyone) and also received two new golden amazing investigators. This work is the Lords work. I know how important it is not to counsel the Lord but to take counsel from him. Learn from it and grow from it. I hope you all have a faith filled week and that you are striving to be more in tune with the spirit and striving to become more like Christ.
